a incorrectly set TPS will cause idle issues too, more so on FI bikes, look up the guide and follow every single step, no iffs no buts do it

it was dodgy before i adjusted anything but maybe that was due to the faulty tps.
so do i adjust it to factory of 3k or 1450rpm as per guide? |

3k is not "factory", you will notice that many people have had this issue, seems they somtimes come set badly from the factory, have to remember that TPS has to be adjusted to your bik, the idle adjustment can affect it too, at the end of the day, it does not matter what TPS you use as long as the display reads the correct setting at a given rpm.

fair enough ill try both as i rode it for 2 years with it set at 3k its only now ive adjusted it since changing the tps and then see how it feels

There are loads round there, one that looks just like TPS is the SDTV sensor.
It just does same job mechanically as TPS, but to act as feedback function for SDTV servo and make sure it is in place which ECU wants it. I am not 100% sure how to set those, but have never had need to myself.

Ok thanks it seems fine just need to redo the tps and work out why the idle is high when started but drops 20 seconds later

That is normal.
Early FI bikes had a fast idle lever to give this, just operated a little cam on side of throttle wheel. newer ones do it automatically. It's like the choke on a carbed bike.

the thing is it never done it before until i changed the throttle bodies. I yet to get on a motorway to be 100% sure the fi problem is sorted then to move onto checking my mpg which was the reason i changed them

Got the code its c28 secondard throttle accuator valve. Where is that? Im out on the m20 now.

SDTV, its the large actuator unit and prob also that secondary sensor you did not know what it was.
