Off topic!

Those dogbones are an aftermarket jack up kit to raise the rear end. so the bike will steer quicker than standard.

There will also be more weight on the front, not advisable with stock springs.

Thanks for that Chris,

Am I best to leave as is and upgrade the shock & front springs to keep the agility of the height or looking at the height with me sitting on it, would I be best to lower it back down so that I can keep both feet firmly on the ground and use the abba stand with more clearance?

Upgrade the shock and front springs is a no brainer

Previous owner might well have done them (the springs) himself, did he mention it? I would try and contact them to check.

How much you weigh is a factor in what to change.

Cool - cheers

He never mentioned anything about upgrading the springs or shocks, he bought the bike as is also.

So if it is worth leaving the height as is and upgrading the springs and shock that is what I shall do. Will start shopping in a few weeks when back from holidays.

I fluctuate in weight between 180 - 190lbs (depends on my eating habits - I do enjoy take aways some weeks )

So if that is the goal - I will need to identify the best shopping list and required work to set up the bike and start putting funds away after the hols.

Ok - just back from holidays and it's time to start looking for bigger gsxr mirrors with integrated indicators as I cannot see anything in those little mirrors and for standard dog-bones

Just checked out mirrors for the craic from the UK - £175 for k8 mirrors and £80 for k4 mirrors to grab the mounts from for fitting them to the k4 sv650s.

So needless to say, I will be looking for second hand ones

Hi All,

Sorry to bring back up the old thread. I'm thinking of getting the bike sprayed due to all the chip marks in the paint and that crack on the left hand side fairing.

Does anybody know where I can get new stickers to replace the ones that are on it?
The Suzuki on the front and sides, the S on the tank and the "R SVS" stickers.

Cheers :thumbsup2:
