I ahve to say we wern't too impressed when we got up there. We spent the whole way up and down in 1st/2nd gear. But on other hills (D64 was good), well actually 1st and 2nd, and 3rd, but at a damn higher pace

Different world down there though isn't it. Utterly fantastic.

Did you sweat your balls off, sitting in town, in thats 35 degree heat? Worst time ever.

You liked Nice? We thought it was dirty, run down, and full of really ugly hookers

Yep, 1st and 2nd got used a lot, towns were a nightmare (FEKIN ROADWORKS!!! Grrrrr)

We've tried to set off on rideouts early to get some lower temperatures. Trips to Monaco and Cannes were done in tshirts, like everyone else.

As for Nice, we stayed on a campsie we liked, on the outskirts about 10min walk from the sea.
I didn't get that familiar with Nice

but the ride down the beach to Monaco was nice. Harbour was full of of ships and yachts, not like Monaco.
