I'd love to pop round and have a gander at it some time if it's a project you're keen to show off Dan? The whole process of taking everything apart seems easy enough but sourcing the replacement bits and reconditioning them to a high enough standard is where I'd be on a learning curve, especially with the old rarer bikes like the above mentioned tzr and your rgv...

Well I did a mini-project on my curvy and on my silver VFR. (suspension mods / brakes / usual). Need to do something similar over the winter to move trick bits from silver to red VFR, strip everything and grease, etc.

I have considered building a track bike, but have commitment issues

Well I like to have several projects on the go, but time and space usually limit them.

The last 5 years has been spent doing this:

Which started off with a 2 litre pinto, then was upgraded to a supercharged Duratec which I did the design/development for myself as no-one had done it as a DIY install before.

Ended up pushing out 270bhp and 245lbft on the rolling road.

Sadly that had to be sold to move on to the next project. Though its still sitting in my garage as the new owner wanted a few mods doing.

New project is a custom bike, I have sourced several parts already and I am waiting for my frame to be completed.

All good fun, and keeps me out of mischeif (kinda)!

shame the car had to go mate - but if you've moved onto bikes then you're winning already

you're not thinking of using an SV engine in the custom are ya? and are you still doing laser cutting/custom bits & pieces? Could be a bit of interest for adapter/spacer plates & whatnot on here
