Ah this sounds awful all through! Glad to hear your friend seems to be pulling through reasonably well considering though!

Makes you wonder, what the hell made him want to race at that time in these conditions (if that is infact the case)! Just seems a little beyond belief... RIP.

Really sorry to hear this mate, hope she makes a full and rapid recovery.
Have to say though, my brother is a 21 year old biker in Preston, and my heart was in my mouth when I read the article. I know I would have known by now, and I doubt he even has his bike on the road at the moment, but til I read R6 it wasnt a nice feeling. As has been said it will be someones brother/son/friend who has died and I wouldnt wish that on anyone.
All the best
Ben

reall ysoory about this tale Dave....

Like i posted a few weeks ago - we need to slow bikes / scooterists down in towns - the kids in scooters are deadly round here , they seem to think its a race , premanently , on two wheels...how do we do it....?????

yes i have calmed down a bit since the op and im sure those that know me will atest im not a vindicive person, but like anyone who just hear a dear friend was near killed i was livid, especially being a biker myself made me more upset
now my thoughts are with his family who must be in pieces atm and like everyone else i would like nothing better than to wave a magic wand and make everyones pain go away, yes he unfortunately had to pay the highest price for his mistake which is a shame most of us at some point have been lucky in one way or another, and have be able to learn from ours

so to finish rip young lad im sure your sorry for what damage youve caused and i for one can forgive it, may your lesson be learnt by others and do some good in the end
