Always bad news no matter the age, just far more shocking when it's someone of Chris's age, if best wishes and positive thoughts are of any value, you have all mine mate, GWS

Email sent Clare.

Cheers Mark

Awful news, but hoping he's over the worst of it - and sounds like he was really lucky...

As I said on the phone Clare this is horrible news, but there are positives to be taken from it. From the little bit of information it would seem that he was one of the hundreds of young people with undiagnosed heart defects who suddenly and without warning suffer an attack. He was so very lucky to be near someone who had the knowledge and confidence to do something about it, and so he has survived, thank goodness. Given a good recovery time it is very likely he can go on to lead a full and active life.

Maybe winning the test and The Ashes was just too much for him (or was it the ladyboys )

Send my love to my extra son please Clare x

Lets hope so. Coming round in a Bangkok hossie full of Thai nurses should get the recovery process on the right footing.

Must unfortunate and I hope he makes a full recovery,at least he has age on his side.
I watched a program on Anglia News tonight about how frequent this is in young people between 14-35 and we now have a free drop-in where you can get an E.C.G. Check. It is partially funded by a charity called C.R.Y.run by a women who lost her 17 year old son with a heart attack.
