Never had that issue with the Dole when on the bike

I was going to see this same film last week but with the cost of the tickets, 3D glasses, petrol, parking and a couple of cokes I was looking at £30 for me and the Mrs. Think I will wait for the DVD.

With regard the helmet I would have told them to sod off, they allow women to take their handbags in, what's the difference??

A full faced helmet in a helmet bag is small enough to be considered carry on luggage when flying, and fits nicely under your seat so you don't have to put it in the overhead bins.
If it's not to big for a plane I don't how it could possibly be too big to carry into a theater.

I'd have skipped the flick rather than leave my lid in the hands of some snotty ticket taker.

I had this too.

Unlike the cinema tho, you cant just say "f you" and walk out when you actually need to do what you went to the place for.

Thats what I was told - leave it or you dont get to put your claim in.

Many womens handbags are bigger than a helmet! Do they take them too?

Think we should all maybe write to the Odeon website and ensure that there is a proper policy in place for this and education for the staff!

Got out again to see the lid sitting on the floor by the desk in full view.

So- not only could someone random have claimed my lid (fortunately I had a friend with me to be a witness that I left it there), but if it got kicked or knocked, the safety of the lid could have been compromised.

When I asked a supervisor about this, she said that it was to ensure there were no blockages to passage in an emergency (they assume it'll be kept by the owner's feet). Yes- bloody health and safety.

I kindly pointed out the theft/safety considerations above and asked that they have appropriate facilities to keep it safe and secure.

Apparently, they should have kept it in a side room and it's possible someone new was on the desk. Not too convinced of that.

While I was relieved to see my lid there again, it's not very good, is it? Coupled with the sheer cost of going to the flicks now, it does seem to put me off going there again somewhat...
Which odeon was it. As I live near u and dnt want the same thing happening to me.

i have the same thing happen to me and the girlfriend at Empire Cinema's in rubery, but our lids get placed on the actual security desk and slide perfectly underneath the counter top, so out of view.

still got a confused look on my face, as first thing i thought was "how can it be a security risk?" id hate to watch a pirate DVD filmed through a visor,
