Nah mate there's the odd minger or bit of speeding but since you have to have a licence, insurance etc. people tend to take it a bit more seriously. Unlike cycles where any pillock can go ride.

Then again, I suppose I'm a hypocrite myself, I go through red lights on the bicycle when there's nowt about. Treat it just like I was a pedestrian and I was crossing the road. Same with pavements, if I'm absolutely boll*cksed going up a hill and riding at granny speed then I'll use the pavement but give way to pedestrians.
I know how much of an annoyance cyclists are to proper road users so try and stay out of the way unless I am going fast enough to go with the flow (rare!), figure if I'm not going to inconvenience anyone by doing something then I don't have a problem doing it.

Motorcycles are the same, you can still be a complete pillock and pass your test and get a license and insurance

Ah yes I'm sure that downhill mentalist who nearly took my head off hurtling off a rock in the lakes going over my head in process will have got banned for dangerous driving?

How many motorbikes go through red lights? Probably the same proportion as cars. How many cycles? A massive proportion!

Some don`t even bother with that , some "Green Laners" and "Field Bike" users around here are not even old enough to have a provisional . I have been on my little local training route on the MTB and have spotted many a spotty yoof rattling around on some old bit of cack or stolen exotica ..... call the rozzers and they arrive about 4 to 5 hours later .

I get really annoyed with the "intelligent" students in St Andrews who ride bicycles at night wearing dark clothing but have no lights on their bikes.
