Even with a decent frame theres little weight to keep it down. Imagine a camping tent in the wind that wasnt pegged down!

Sorry no my idea would be to secure the bike barn to the ground pretty much permanently. So when I get home I can just ride the bike to the cover and lift the cover around it.

Just sold one of these - cos i got a garage.
But they are excellent, i would get one with the galvanised frame tho. I had mine bolted down and a couple of breeze blocks inside on top of the frame. Never moved last winter and the weather was pretty awful down here. Bike covers last a year or two and scratch the bike, if you have the space get one of these. Far superior to a cover, and if wet, you can roll the bike in, close the cover and dry off, gt85 the bike and not leaver it to steam under a cover. Bike was always stone dry.

http://www.bike-home.co.uk/motorcycl...cle-cover.html Galvanised frame is a good idea, mine did start to rust at the joints. Fitted the Sv whilst fully loaded with full soft panniers, tent and sleeping bag. You can almost sit on the bike - inside with the top over. These things are 3m long by 1m wide. Surprising how big they are and how much floorspace they take up. Plus you need 1.5 - 2m in front to wheel the bike in and out.

Sounds good! Thanks mate I will measure up the garden and drive but they sound good. Couple of concrete slabs I'm thinking on the grass with bucket of concrete underneath for ground anchor job done?

Now also considering a bike safe or similar product.... If it gets classed as a garage insurance comes down a fair bit! Waiting on my insurance to let me know
