I saw plenty of stainless into alloy corrosion on the ZX12R we've just spent a couple of days sorting out. The muppet who owned it replaced a load of fasteners on the bike with un-coppaslipped stainless and then sat it outside for three years. Virtually every fastener needed drilling out.

I had a similar experience with my zx7r. I managed to strip the threads off one side of stud holes. I just bought 15mm longer studs and fitted nyloc nuts to the end. Saved having to heli coil or get my mate stiggy to re do the fork bottoms at work

Electrolysis is common on many mismatched metals that is why the use zinc anodes in the marine industry to combat it. Not just bolts or other fittings, even rivets can cause it when not in compatible metals.
You would appreciate the damage it can do if you saw the corrosion rate on a boats anode.
Admittedly it is less on a land based vehicle but anything near water carries it,be it surface or internal water on an engine or subsidiaries

Oh yes I've seen it myself on stainless bolts in aluminium holes, but it never seems to be a problem when a drop of copperslip or loctite is involved.
