OP be aware that they are both slightly abrasive to your kit.

yeahhh i did think they might be, i dont ride too hard too often though so i cant see them wearing tooooooo much!
Did you use the whole grip?
Or is it possible to cut them down and only use a smaller size/ strips so they look less obnoxious?

If you spend time fitting them well, you'll hardly see them:-

Me neither. I have done about 4 sets now and the last probably took me just under an hour to apply both sides. I can upload some pics, but advice would be to wait until you have an empty tank, take it off and do it inside. Borrow the missus hairdryer (or in Speedplay's case, use your own! ) and take your time.

Generally speaking DON'T cut them down! I had to use the universal ones for my NC30 and the cut edge gets pretty sticky and manky. Much better to use the whole pad as it has a nice tapered edge.

If applied properly, they are pretty discrete - More discrete than having a massive black pad a la techspecs. I also haven't noticed any wear on my leathers in 3 years, but I guess that depends how much you hang onto them.

It's fair to say the wear on my leathers could be general but I did only notice it after using stompgrips. I hadn't really bothered looking previously.

harsh!

I've noticed a little more wear on my leathers but as already stated, could well be general wear.
