Of course you could always buy a fairly popular little Suzuki, it's called an Ess Vee Six Fifty. You may have heard of it?

Oh the irony. May be a bit out of your price range but I just test rode the Kwak Z1000SX. Full write up will appear in my test ride challenge thread.

Finally, people with sense, and despite what people say you CAN corner on it. Fair play it doesn't tip in as quick as some but you can always fit a 3mm spacer above the rear shock and that will make it tip in a lot quicker.
You could always drop the yokes down the forks for the same effect but you might end up scraping the fairings if you do that. Mac99 has one, I can't believe the mileage he gets, it's like a small diesel car (mileage wise obviously) ![]()

What about an Aprilia Futura, cheap but a good reliable bike.

Not for what I use it for at the moment but I've been over to Europe on it a couple of times and know that commuting the distances I would be if I moved would be pretty uncomfortable, would put too many miles on the CBR and I wouldn't like to use it through winter.. too pretty

I bought a ZX-6R 636 the first of the 636 A1P model, very comfy two up, nice fat seats and for the rider the footpegs are nice and low like a sreet bike.
I just found it in the back of a used bikes showroom in London and bought it. It's got the nice sportsbike/sports tourer mix, it's in the range of the last of the comfy sports bike as i call them. Failing the first 636 model, go for the late 600's there all the same frame and design, my 636 is just with the newer engine which then the following year all the seating and fairings became more modern, pointy, less comfy etc.... Identical to this one, http://www.phoenixmc.co.uk/usedbikes...ki&model=ZX636 A1P&CC=636 although mine had a quater of the mileage at the exact same price. Good look bike shopping! |

Nobody has suggested a Dullville yet
Shaft drive & good weather protection, plus Honda reliability. Not the most exciting bike, but its a commuter you want
