I would say MMA is more technical than boxing, purely because of the multi-disciplinary approach. I know it looks more like a scrap than boxing, but there's so many technical facets to most fights, that I find it intriguing to watch simply because of the range of moves/strategies they employ in a fight. Respect to anyone who trains/fights at aany level because it's massively hard work.
Oh...and I want to see Haye get his stupid face smashed in. I know he's a Brit an all, but he's gone too far with trying to drum up demand for the fight. Last edited by Nobbylad; 01-07-11 at 08:41 AM. |

I hope Klitschko lays Haye down on his sorry ass. Some of the trash coming out of his mouth is ridiculous and probably the only comparison you can make with Ali.

I am not very impressed by the present "top" heavyweights tbh. Haye is conceding 2stone in weight,a lot of height and enough reach for it to really be important. He will have to be fast and aggressive like Tyson at his best to find any success. This will either be a very explosive, very short battle or a mind numbing, lack of conviction points decision.

well that was a rubbish fight. Haye certainly did not deserve to win.

Definitely milking the throw downs, Wlad was the better boxer throughout, Haye didn't find a way past the jab, Wlad may be basic, but he's bloody good at what he does, Haye didn't have the power in the few shots he landed cleanly to trouble Wlad, he definitely wouldn't trouble Vitali who has only been KO'd once, and that was in his kickboxing career by a boot to the jaw.
In fairness to Haye, I don't think he really meant any of the trash talk, it put bums on seats and although he was beaten, he's now loaded for life! |

Well that was a bit of a let down. I won't criticise anyone who gets in ringe (except Fraudly Harrison), but I have to hand it to Klitsko he is better than I thought. Definitely has quick reactions and Hayes game plan just didn't work.
Haye will have to look back and wonder if he should taken more chances, and thrown more punches. At least if he had if would have had a punchers chance. If he had taken more chances but got knocked out, at least we and he could have said he had a good go. Now I guess the press and public will see him as another mouthy Brit who failed on the big stage. |

I knew this would be embarrassing for Haye.
