Though I'm loathe to link it, it's true:

I got it on release day and am over the moon.

My MacBook is nearly 4 years old and it has had no effect on battery life or had a hit on processor speed, it drifts along fine and everything is smooth.

Granted I have to use the magic trackpad to get the multitouch effects as mine is so old it doesnt have the glass trackpad, but I already had a magic trackpad as I had a chance to get one half price last october, so took it.

Full screen apps is awesome, and swiping from side to side to go from app to app is the same as the multitouch gestures you can unlock for the iPad, which I love, so am well pleased. Little things like the going back or forward a page in web browsers is excellent too, all little novelties.

Only thing I'm missing is Air drop because my MacBook is so old, but other than that I think Lion is pretty great.

righto

A re-birth!
How is everyone finding the new one?

Anyone had any issues with software, as if it going to funk up office etc.. I ain't upgrading as I don't fancy spending £21 plus £100+ on office and £30 on parrells

It doesn't seem to like my mouse's scroll wheel very much (spin it like mad, nothing much happens), I get weird pauses with Flash videos (Youtube, and if there's a video banner ad like the Driver:SF one currently on Eurogamer) so tbh I haven't really noticed any improvement.

I'd say yes. I don't know why I'm having these issues but certainly it's proved to be a controversial new version. Wait and see?

I think I will. As I need Parrells a lot more TBH

Checked a couple reviews and two jumped out were on about Office (guessing 07 as the earlier ones don't work on intel machines) and CS2 not working
