Still, that leaves 25 to cover all the consumables that would be needed to get the bike running, but I reckon thats only just enough for an oil and filter change.

Aye that's the problem. I can buy any number of bikes under £300. It's having enough change left to get them on the road that's difficult.

I'm going on an Italjet Jupiter 250 scoot that will "cruise" at 60-65 so don't fret about keeping up. Anyway we'll catch up each time the sporty lads break down.
