By "the flabby mess I'm living with at the moment" I meant the rear shock...

So while you guys are talking about shocks, what would work well on my curvy? Im about 11.5 stone with gear i guess. Do i want to go for the stiffer 04/05 or the softer 07 zx shock?

Thanks

and add spacers to keep it in place.
here, neeja has it all wiht pics: http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=140060

the slim battery is cool, but not necessary. just need to watch how far
down you bend the undertray, as the tyre may come in contact with it
on large bumps.

here's a pic of mine with a 08 zx6r shock fitted:
Very nice, by the way. What did you use for spacers? And what stops your battery sliding forwards?

spacers = sheet aluminium. battery is held by long&fat zip-ties. had to drill a
couple of holes in the back of battery box to run them through.

Zip ties and folded aluminium: definitely the type of engineering I can get behind!

New shock should be delivered today. I'm looking forward to this!

Hmmm, did you find the aluminium pre-shaped somewhere? I'm a little trepiditous about trying to mangle together my own spacers... I'm on quite a sharp enough learning curve as it is!

Also, Rob969: that's pretty awesome.
