Many years ago, when I money and no kids, bought my wife a new BMW 3 convertible with her own personalised plate.

Didn't tell her till it arrived on the drive. For some reason there were no complaints. Funny things women.

I did a similar thing and gave my wife a surprise weekend away for our 15th wedding anniversary, didn't tell her and organised it all with my MIL's help.

No complaints, but no gratitude either. I've not forgotten

Never again

Fickle things aren't they?

But amazing how they can remember you eying someone 25 years ago and bringing it up every time you have a row,

I must be lucky Mrs Chucca told me I HAD TO BUY the Street Triple, and laughed at me when she saw the Arrow End can's that I had to buy!!!

See what happens after May 4th when she offically becomes Mrs Chucca, she might try and stop all the fun...

You'll probably only get this if you are, like me, over the age of 35.
I wish they only cost a penny

Btw, I'm only slightly over 35 but do get it

She never used to bother at all, was quite secure about it and knew I was only window shopping, and I always told her when I'd been in one. The last couple of times have been since my son was born, and complete surprise to me both times she went nuts. Insecurity has crept in somewhere, so now I just don't tell her.
Yeah, insecurity crept in, along with the stretchmarks. Childbirth, bah!

I have discussed at length my absolute need for a shiny new exhaust, my absolute need for a Gixxer front end and my life threatening need for a shed load of shiny bits to bolt on. She said "get another job". So, I had the interview last week. Hmm, will I have enough time to ride when I hold down two and half jobs?

Not telling her that I had bought a big purchase is down right disrespectful though, especially when we both work so hard to earn enough to pay for our toys. I have bought her the first of her Solstice/Christmas/Mid winter (delete as appropriate) presents though, which she does not know about.
