OK one thing to think about here is a lot of this stuff is acidic/alkaline and as such its great for getting muck off your car paint etc. however it can damage bare aluminium of which your bike has plenty.

I think using a good soap is all you need but if your in a hurry and want to loosen some grime you can get muc off cheap (called no more dirty bike) for a quid from poundland.

ive used a lot of their stuff. chain cleaner (bit harsh imo but works) lube (good in summer like wurth) muc off spray, helmet stuff and the bike spray. out of all of it the bike spray is the only stuff ive bought again.
