How about blaming the stupid design team rather than a rider with a proven track record. Stoner's Ducati and this one (and the previous one) are totally different animals.
We also shouldn't forget just how much faster the entire field is compared to when Stoner was riding it. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Rossi's crap times last year were on average actually faster than Stoner's winning times the year before. The other bikes just went forwards whereas this one went backwards. |

I too have heard he has left Ducati. Again its only rumours.
Funny how Nicky Hayden can ride his machine. He has sorted out his problems and moved the engine about. |

I hate Stoner he is a whiney b1tch!
When he's winning its all smiles and my teams great but when he gets beat its oh I lost because its the tyres, no wait its arm pump or is it chatter??? Why don't you just admit Lorenzo and Pedrosa did better than you, instead he put it down to problems with the bike. Not once have i ever seen Stoner congratulate the other riders for winning!

there's a really good article examining the potential reasons for the Ducati problems. It doesn't take into account the 2012 bike yet but worth a read anyway.
http://www.motomatters.com/analysis/...mosedici_.html It looks like what was originally purely a design fault is now a battle of experience between the Japanese manufacturers with years of experience in these frame designs, to Ducati who have just produced their first one. That combined with a much longer engine, reducing the ability to move the mass to where it needs to be seems to be the main problem. Ducati have alot of catching up to do to compete at the same development pace of the others, regardless of who is riding it. What Ducati need to do is build a Honda or a Yamaha ![]() Last edited by flymo; 11-04-12 at 03:53 PM. |

Yep, just another fifty or so articles like that and he'll be approaching stoner proportions. He's said he cannot ride the bike, he's not making excuses.

H'mm reading Steve Parish's column in this months Fast bikes said that Rossi would still be struggling on the Ducati this year, so he's not wrong then.
