I'm looking forward to the Olympics, as indeed I look forward to any great sporting contest.
It gives sports fans something to get excited about, it gives protestors/minority groups and general nutters a chance to get on telly, it gives the not grumpy/opinionated keyboard kommandoes something else to whinge about and it gives all our old sporting heroes a chance to be a "pundit" in the media.

The only sport I'm interested in watching is women's beach volley ball late at night while alone, and that's not an Olympic event so they can shove it.
