Been looking at the fcr jobbys, might be a week or 2 before im venturing sown that route , also been looking at the jet kits and 3 x 3 mod, think ill make a bit of a list of all the necessities and then get them over a bit of time and see how we go, Went out on monday with the future father in law and noticed the rear sprocket on mines a fair bit larger than his (also a drz owner) so flat out were at 85mph, although the acceleration is better than his, and the front comes up a bit easier I dont know if it would be better to have stock gearing just for a slightly higher cruising speed? suppose its all about playing around to set it up how you like over a fair bit of time but so far im rather liking the different riding style.

I think stock gearing is 14/44 Im running 15/39 with no power issues, yeah it take a bit of a tug and sitting quite far back for it to lift but its still far easier than the SV was.
I can help you out with the prices for stuff, well I can tell you pretty much what ever mod has cost me and I can tell you which ones I thought were worth it against those that I'd have been happier keeping the cash in my pocket on.

Loony machine, never filtered through Edinburgh traffic like such an idiot, as I did when riding one of these! Then did about 5 laps of this road at full pelt!

so..... fcr, 3x3 mod, pair removal, owenskis coil pack, indys and relay, exhaust, brake light switch, handguards, manual CCT, big super service in next 1000 miles...... remind me not to go visiting mr owenski in future... and aparently these things are cheap to run . Cheers for the advice mr owenski, much appreciated, now just to put the simple stuff into practice before you get the crappy jobs .

Cheers again

Danny
