For sure, anything you can actually set-up to your fancy is better then the pogostick they put on the sv, but I would rather save up and buy a aftermarket shock made for the sv than getting a oem from a different bike, if I needed I would sell the neighbours dog to raise money for it, even stop drinking for a time just to save up... and but promise the wife to get the kids every morning for a long period of time just to be allowed to use the money on it....

Funny you should ask about the bumps.... it losses(it slips) it's rear a cm or so when the weight gets lifted from the rear to the exhaust, worst to say it doesn't scare me any longer(and I'm cautious by nature), my friends are telling me I've got a lowside coming up this summer, wife overheard them, she says she isn't going to visit me at the hospital if I end up there but I've got a jackup kit and a new exhaust coming my way, should help some.
