Have to say I prefer twins, be they V-twin or parallel, if I'm looking for a fun middleweight bike... unless I am in a 2-stroke mood, then I prefer a proper all out sports 600 because they act the same as a stoker

Exactly, and the R6 engine that's related to the FZ is about the most 2-stroke 4-stroke going among the modern bunch, and bloody good fun if you want to go bonkers.

They just don't smell right.

I didn't understand why they were making those when it was first announced. Apart from being damned expensive for what it is, is there really a need for a model for a non-sports bike to slot in between the usual 600 and 1000 sizes? I know the FZ6 is gone now but I would have thought much of the appeal of the 600 was for people who didn't want or need the oodles of power, something somewhat negated by the 800.

whats the point you can get a fz1 for the same price and insurance was £50 more for the fz1, more power, better suspension and in my oppinion looks better
