Right my multimeter arrived this afternoon so after getting back from work first on the list was checking the battery, here's the figures.
Battery disconnected - 12.7 Battery connected - 12.7 On bike and idling - 12.9 5000 rpm - 14.4 Now from what I've read in other threads I'm not sure if the difference between the volts at idling speed and 5000 rpm is a bit high, when I first started the bike and checked it was hovering around 13.4 (1500rpm) but as the bike got upto temperature it settled around the 12.9 figure. So what do you guys think, is it about right? |

Was the 14.4 with your lights on?....cos if so that is fine...

Good stuff, like I said just wasn't sure if the difference between idling and 5000rpm was high, I'll keep doing regular checks to make sure it's not slowly draining somehow and for piece of mind.
