How to start racing?

Well i found the MZ Racing Experience which looks pretty good for £500 quid

jump straight in, dont matter if youre in the fast group or novice group. faster racers will pass you safely, leaving you to concentrate on your race. Their is always someone racing at your pace so you will have a few battles. I pootle round at the back and love every minute of it.

I wish i had the funds to just 'Jump Straight In' haha even on a budget racing will still set me back quite a bit and being quite young and doing a well underpaid job at RBS i dont think i have a chance just yet!

Hi Mason,

Not sure I can help you but I was asking the same questions as you not so long ago. Im also 22 and training as an Orthodontic Dental Technician on the minimum wage for the next 2 years.

Since getting into biking I've been desperate to get into racing. After much saving and headaches over the last year and a half buying equipment etc I've finally been able to make it out on track doing a few track days at Cadwell and Mallory Park on a 2003 Minitwin. I joined Darley Moor race club as its where I sat my ACU CTC course and its fairly local so hoping I can enter my first race before the years out (if im brave enough lol) I plan to join EMRA and Darley Moor next year and do a full season all being well.

Anyway I hope there's something in my text that's some use to you and you get racing soon.
