thanks all - yeah, I meant to start a thread but a) wasn't convinced I would manage to see it through, and b) I hardly have the time to work on it never mind write about it and c) updates would have been decidedly few and far between. I put one on SVRider's build board section as a record for myself, but half the photos on there have been moved now.

I put the decals on last night (the stripes etc. in these pics are all paint, Pyro) - went for OEM ones rather than vinyl copies - the "S" on the tank like K4 on SVs and the little "SUZUKI" above the tail ight and that's all she's getting.

I'll stick some more photos up when I can get her out in the sunlight.

Lovely work on the bike I can't wait to see it in the flesh at one of the rideouts or even the GM.

You and TamSV can compare notes on bikes.

Good work that. Looks well put together with some nice wee details.

People will want to touch your brake reservoir. I don't know why. They just do.

lol - aye, funny that sort of thing isn't it. Still, if they look at me the right way they can touch what they like.... actually wait, no they can't.

The GM is the weekend of Friday 29th August, its based at The MacDonald Hotel in Kinlochleven. There's no need to search you can hit the link in my signature for all of the main details.

I'm sure you'll enjoy showing off your lovely SV to the guys.

Looks ace! Is that a fender extender above the dials as a mini windscreen?
Love it

Close, but not quite - it's made from the Suzuki hugger the bike came with (it was broken anyway) - the very back end of it, trimmed to fit the headlight and surround and then sanded nice and round at the edges (and painted, obviously). It's possibly the bit I'm most proud of on the whole bike, actually.

cheers Dave - I'll see what I can do re the GM.I don't get let out much, so will need to build up the biking points . Meantime, I can list out the spec here if folk are interested?

Had a successful test ride at the weekend - nothing fell off, leaked or stopped working. A few adjustments need to be made - the gauges think the petrol tank is permanently empty, the gear indicator I have fitted (just cos I like them) lies, and the mirrors probably need to be above, not below, the bars (especially the right hand side). I'll try that and see if it's any better.

yes we want the list, im particularly interested in the front end set up
so if you wouldn't mind just running off the answers to these to start with

Gixxer k7 front end ?
which clocks you using
how much modding for the headlight to go on
what type of brackets did you use ( im assuming hand made)
any major issues

basicly just have a good ramble on about all the work involved on the front end,
