I regularly get 135/140 miles before the light starts to flash. I'm probably just over 15 stone and only use the bike for fun, so country roads at a fun pace!

And I have a K6 650!

On a 3500 km trip last week, I averaged 3.7 liters/100 (76.4 mpg) at 100 km/hour. At 110 it dropped to 3.9 liters/100 (72.4 mpg). I eeked 400 km (250 miles) out of one tank.

Remember, that was a steady-state speed. The v-strom 1000 that rode with me, burned almost exactly one liter per 100 km more. It looks like I burned a hundred and sixty dollars Canadian worth of fuel on 3500 kilometers. I think that's a very inexpensive trip!
