Cripes. Look, it isnt Visordown....nowhere near it, so chill dudes.
Now as far as i know, John has invested a lot of time into this new site, and not forgeting Kevin for starting it. Im sure that both Kevin, and john would love to see this forum used, for no matter what. If all this forum consisted of where people asking abou the sv and all its faults and attributes, then im sure it would be one dull place to be, and all the effort put in by the admin team, would be a total waste of time. Now we are all grown ups (No matter what you mental age) and we can all make out own decisions, but to be honest, its a Forum. It dont hurt anyone, it dont disuade(Sp?) people from coming on here. As we have seen people come here for the fun of it as well. To be honest, on the old site, when soemone came on and asked which exhust/tyre etc, there where some people, whos names i cant rememebr, who just posted up "Do a search" Not very warming was it. People come on here, see the banter thats going on, and think that they may become friends with other riders. I know that i have met a few very good frinds through bike forums like these. Im 32 by the way, so well past it. Lifes to short to be serious. |

There's also a further issue. With users trying to out do each other to see how many posts they can make coupled with all the other non SV related posts there is a danger that the load we're putting on the server might eventually cause the forum to be scaled down.
Remember folks that the bandwidth and server space (both considerable now, surely?) are very generously donated to us and as there is no commercial incentive then perhaps we had better start thinking about how we use these facilities. Of course only John can give us the exact nature of the problem and hopefully I'll be proved to be just a doom and gloom merchant but for now surely we should simply tread carefully? After all, it would be a crying shame if this board wasn't here this time next year. Other than that, yes I agree totally that a seperate area for general chat would be a good idea. And as for this "age-ist" feeling that seems to be pervading the forum I would have thought that younger minds would have been more enlightened, pity. I'm also amazed that the Soho Massive has been attacked yet again especially as they haven't done or said anything! Weird. . |

Who attacked the Soho Massive? Just mentioned it as a problem on the last board which was solved in the new board with no trouble.
Chasing top ranking will soon become boring and I'm sure John can archive off old threads to save space if it's needed. I'd have no issue with making a small contribution to the site if it helps keep it going. I give plenty fo money to far less rewarding and effective causes at the moment (PAYE, Road Tax, Petrol Tax........ ![]() la la la..... nearly the weekend.... and it's sunny!!!! |

I've certainly made some new friends through this site and have learned a LOT about my bike. It's nice to know that there are people out there that will help, but will have a laugh. I know some other SV forums, but none are as good as this one

Err tell me you not actually serious. The bandwidth being used up is miniscule, don't forget HTTP is fire and forget, once it is submitted there is no longer any bandwidth being used.
And as for posting to boost rates thats rubbish, whilst it was joked about, thats not what I and certainly others were not setting out to do, we just contribute a LOT to this board trying to give advice to others. I am sorry but that was a bit silly of you to say that. Benji |

Trying to fit replacement rear indicators to my SV last night. Goddammit I was really hacked off when I saw that the indicators use bullet plugs but the connectors for the stock SV indicators are block connectors.
I've been told that all third party indicators use bullet pl.... oops, sorry. Wrong thread. |
