Thats what visors are for mate

I used to use something called RainX on my visor.. made water run off the visor rather than sticking to it
Rain-X works great in the rain, it causes the drops to bead up and gather and roll off, doesn't work so well in fog though, the misture drops are too small in mass and don't gather unless the fog is real heavy, or it is raining also.

I use a Rain-X product that is an automotive windshield washer fluid, get it by the gallon, use it in the windshield washer of my cage, I also keep a small spray bottle in my MC kit along with a microfibre towel to clean my helmet visor, the Rain-X not only sheds the water, but it reduces the amount of grit & dirt that actually sticks to your visor, so you end up not having to clean it as often.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my post concerning specs and fog.
A number of people have suggested RainX but I don't think it would
really help me. My understanding is that RainX helps when riding in
rain (as opposed to fog) but I don't have a problem with rain
anyway.

I decided to try out the Vee Wipe and have just ordered one from my
local Yamaha dealer.

I also accept the point that one shouldn't ride a motorbike in
heavy fog but in some cases it is unavoidable. Say, you leave home
when it looks OK'ish but later find yourself in thick fog.

I am especially pleased to see Sincs online again.

PS. I did a Google search which showed that heated visors do indeed
exist. But they are used mostly by people riding snowmobiles.

heated visors won't help in fog other than to keep it from turning to frost. they more for keeping the inside of your visor from fogging & frosting from your breath.

The V-wipe is rather good, I use mine in the fog as traveling up the A3 you get loads. But you are wipin the visor every 5 mins, though its better than not seeing at all or having to use the car.

Talking about chav strip lighting on a bike.
I saw a green NINJA on Camden Road just by Holloway prison the other day Green in colour with a green stip light underneath.
Lookd a bit crap.

Same with me. That's why I have to lift my visor when riding in fog.

The visor also mists up when riding in rain but not so bad.

If you wear a snood, neck warmer, scarf, whatever... just pull it up over your nose before you fasten your chinstrap. You should be able to breath through it normally and it has always seemed to stop any visor misting for me in the cold.

There's a thing called a Huffer I think, possibly made by Oxford that works the same way for more money! Protects your nose and mouth from any updraft and cuts down on the mist factor from breathing.

Alternatvely you could always just hold your breath!

When you're riding in actual fog, then outside will get misted over as well.
Not much you can do about that apart from wiping it off every 5 seconds.

Inside is easy, cover your mouth and nose with a scarf and keep your visor nice and clean.
