Maybe I just haven't watched Crimewatch for a while but I'm pretty sure that the robbers motorbike of choice is a Honda C90.

I've only had a couple who have waved me into the shop to pre pay. They get the following shoted at then from unde my lid..."Fuk you, you scumbag. You calling me a thief? Stoopid cnut!!" and i storm out never to go there again.
Most places are quite cool with me (maybe the Spidey lid heLps, who knows) My local station knows me well from the bike. I never take my lid off either and i always stay on the bike while filling up. I was in there one day in the company car...all suited an booted and a guy storms in with his lid balanced on his head. He's only about 19/20 and the guy is saying "i cant switch it on, you might ride off"...the boy in turn says "i dunno how much it needs to fill it up, and i gotta pay by card. How can i do that if neither of us know how much to charge on my card?" The guy tries to ignore him and help me (well i was next and this 'ped guy was back by the door). I lughed and said to the attendant that i just put in my car 4 times what i can get in my bike. I'm normally dressed like this under my bike gear but you dont know that. Why treat all bikers like crims? I could just as easily drive off in my car as i could on my bike. Yet i come in her dressed like this and in a car and i'm a diffrent person am i? He looked very confused till i reminded him of my Spiderman lid. "Oh it Spiderman, haha. Oh youre ok, we all know you in here" Wonder how they treat me when i get another lid? Joke is that most stations in major towns and cities have the ANPRS, so other than having false plates (which are just as easy on a bike or car) you are gonna get caught.

I've been to a garage where not only do they expect you to get off the bike when you pump but they also wont switch the pump on until you have removed your helmet. I havn't been to that garage again. Another garage on the M4 just before junction 12 West bound, wont switch the pump on until you have paid if it's past 11pm. I don't stop there either. I normally fill up at the local Tesco's where they have pay at the pump. No hassles at all then.

A common theme here, only go to a regular place that actually treats you like a citizen, not a guilty 'open prison' joy rider..
On another note - I can advise not to use Tesco petrol stations. I used to work there, and a story went round saying the reason the petrol is so cheap is due to the additives used to dilute the petrol. I doubt it's illegal, but I prefer to use Shell Optimax in mine.. what Petrol does everyone use? |

I would do that but a rather pleasant young lady works at my local tesco so I have to go in to pay!

They won't turn on the pump over here these days until you remove your helmet and get off, I've seen a guy at my local servo go insane at the atttendant with no luck.
I have also seen a guy overfill while sitting on the bike and fill his jeans up as well, He looked to be a pretty tough guy but he was crying like a baby while trying to lay under the water tap. I'm unconvinced that any more fuel will go in anyway, The tube inside the fuel cap creates an airpocket, I usually rock the bike gently to squeeze a bit more in. |

I tend to use plain unleaded Esso, though only because it's one of the cheapest in the area and is the first pump on thew trip into work.
