ps no, you didn't do a bad thing, just came across the wrong person, in the wrong place at the wrong time. Generally that's alright so long as shortly afterwards you're heading away from them at a higher speed than they can travel at.

you got to chill a bit more and get used to it if youre riding in central London tbh.
Expect selfish ********s to block you and just chill cos you'll get past them eventually. If you provoke a situation you could end up in the circumstances where a guys got you by the neck and saying hes got a knife in the car as happened to one member of this forum or get thumped if you encounter Mr psycho van man as I did. I wouldve been tempted to lean in and grab his phone and then chuck it on the floor. Like to see him explain to a copper on his complaint why it was reachable in the first place. But like my brake fluid spray thinking, Im better than that so wont do it. Just accept there are idiots out there and nutters too... do you really want to find out its your unlucky day and youve got the nutter with the knife on your hands? ![]() |

![]() ![]() and you'd then be in the wrong and facing assault and other charges. Imho you'd be no better than van man assaulting me at my accident because you cant keep your temper and chill. Its LONDON. Traffic is ****e, drivers dont look or have any consideration, so deal with it in a manner thats not likely to upset a driver enough to take his anger or frustration out on the next biker that comes past. ![]() I used to get wound up til I realised bad driving is a constant factor in London. The only one suffering was me cos of the stress of getting angry. So I learnt a few things to make me chill, ride on and get to work safely without having the prospect of someone get out of a car armed and angry. And one thing in London Ive found, you may get ahead but the way some sets of lights work you may suddenly find the guy you've got away from up your tail again... ![]() ![]() ![]() |
