You are a hell of a salesman, you know that?
In all fairness the bike had done about two years road work, pushing 130,000 mile, before I retired it got a replacement for the road, splashed a bit of money on it (bit of porting, larger injectors, higher compression, advanced timing that sort or thing) got probably 40 runs out of it before starting to use octane boosted fuel (always chasing that little bit more), which is what helped killed it, it was only a matter of time before something I did to it was just a bit to far, sure I could have gone faster on an all out sports bike and not stressed it to breaking point, but that wasn't my goal. I wanted to do it on the Daytona, why? because I could.

I wouldn't push a road bike like that, but then that's why I had that one. To go the fastest you can, means not having to worry about the bike, you set it up and roll the dice

generally RWYB is lower key most people even turn up riding the bike they will use, it's more about fun that complete focus, their are only a few bikes which are pushed that far (or further) and most go home without any ill effects.

I can't do that, so I don't do unless I've a bike I can afford to destroy (mind you I made more from selling the Gucci bit off that I would have selling a complete runner with that sort of mileage )

I appreciate not everyone is like me, but fortunately it's everyone else that's strange .

Cheers Mark.

Hmmm, well we have an initial date of May 13th (posted overleaf), but that still doesn't stop anyone wanting to meet up going? You don't HAVE to run up the strip if you don't want to.

So initially im still going to say May 13th..

tbh, im very much up for this, i've even just bought some new leather trousers espcially for it (Im a commuter so lots of waterproof/gor-tex type stuff) so i'll be going up there whatever. More that join on the merrier....

I'd be up for this. Finally get off my **** and actually go to the raceway - afterall, it's fairly local to me!

I could also provide a limited amount of floor space if those travelling from further afield would rather not do the whole thing in a single day.

I just need to be certain I'm not working that day - which I won't know until a few weeks beforehand.
