Well, if you're thowing it around to just anybody, I'll put a request in...

Small pressie: new left knee please. A snip (ha ha) at about £7k, including travelling costs etc to France for it to be done.

Big pressie: Save the NHS. (It would also save on the expense of a small presie!)

K, good call on the NHS.

My mum had both knees done, partial-replacement in autumn of '04. An absolute miracle how mobile she is now compared to the past, though it does take a good six months to see progess at first.

Have you been given a date? Waiting times for it were something like 1 1/2 years for her.

Hopefully it won't be that bad... but that said I've been waiting five months for them to just stick a camera in my knee to see how bad it actually is.

Been put back once already - should now hopefully be in two weeks.
