I nearly didn't get to put the clocks there! When I fitted the flat bars on the yoke I'd already decided to relocate the ignition barrel down on the nearside frame spar. I was going to machine off the hole and lugs on the topyoke, leaving a plain slab. Glad I didn't now, or i'd have clocks dangling by a cable in mid-air!

It's now here....

Yes, that's exactly what I mean - I just want to strip off the plastic and stick a single light on it... I'll try to look into whose pic it is...

Haggis, I like it - might confuse the thieving toerags round my way aswell!

Littledaisy, what do you think of these speed triple-ish style twin headlight set ups?

Does anyone know if the non-S clocks backing is available seperately, or is a total clock swap required (in which case I'd probably go aftermarket)?

I'm torn about the twin light - I've seen it on some bikes and I think it looks great, and then other times I'm not that into it...

I agree with you about Haggis' placement of the key ignition - I'd loan my bike out to people just to mess with them...

I know what you mean - twin lights can work well (speed triple) or look a bit naff. My perfect bike would look like a speed triple, be as bomb proof as my Hornet 6 and have the SV engine (frugal but still fun!!)

Right now I'm just wishing I had something to ride - got rid of my zx6 (too much plastic) and now am left with a dull ache of longing...

What I really want is what was pictured in that photo you showed... stripped down cafe racer style, but silver on the silver frame, rear fender taken off, and no mirrors if I could get away with it (maybe a bar-end because otherwise I'd die!). low profile and no clutter.

A friend of mine has a beautiful 86 srx6 silver stripped right down (no mirrors, gawdy blinkers etc) that I'm in love with.

ahhh in that case, continuing on my Triumph theme you need a Thruxton! Or how about a Honda GB500....

no - stick to the SV plan, you like it to ride, make it so as you like it to look at it just as much!!

Yeah, I'm kinda an aesthetics person - designer by trade....

And I just sat down from doing a happy dance - I may have found myself a bike... Just got an email from a guy a bit south of me offering me his... Although, now if it's naked, I may have to check out what's required to stick on svs clip-ons and switch the seating position... I've tainted myself!!
