The only pics I've seen of this have all been from the side.
Could it be because that from the front it looks as pig-ugly as the 749 or 999 ?? Oh yes, & if I had 37k lying around I'd spend 10 on creating the best SV Thou 'fighter' ever & put the rest towards the road-going RCV211 - if it ever gets off the drawing board !!.

Supervox...a true romantic.....charming yet so flawed!
![]() Sadly,(you might think :P ) I have an official 2006 Ducati calendar on the wall above my monitor. I am looking at the Desmo from every conceivable angle....and that honey aint in no-one's language...ugly! ![]() And that naughty girl LYNW.....The Desmosedici is directly derived from the Moto GP bike which has reliability up there with Honda over the past few seasons. Ducati has never blown an engine to my knowledge during racing? Whereas Honda,Suzuki and Yamaha have. Sete had a gear linkage problem on his Ducati at jerez which was more down to human error than manufacture fault. The Ducati's that blew there guts at Jerez are cobbled together from spare bits so dont count! :P |

For the record, one evening down Great Portland St on my way to the Soho massive meeting I pulled up at some lights which had just turned red. I heard this god awful rattle and kept looking at the bike. In the end I put into neutral, side stand down and got off the bike to look at it. Lets just say the Ducati rider behind me was less than impressed ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Lyn...I took you to have more class than to offer such a cheap and uncouth tale such as that.
![]() Dry clutch and desmodronics might make you fill yer pants when first hearing them together. But such joyous mechanical orchestration when you get in to it. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() And why would I want something that sounds at odds as the dry clutch/Desmo do when the v twin with non-standard can sounds extremely lovely and doesnt sound like it needs a mechanic every five minutes? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Lyn...You little poison tongued minx! That is exactly why many Ducatisti fit after market Zorsts to their bikes. A liitle more exhaust sound and the mechanical chorus is stifled and so protecting the sensitivites of the great unwashed(japanese) riding folks.) See how considerate we are?
