Hello and welcome! I can strongly suggest R&Gs too, I've road tested them more than once and each time they have protected the frame and body work as intended.
From Clapham, it isn't that far to the Selkent meets either, if you fancy going into the countryside a little bit.

Nice choice of bike, you clearly are a man of taste!!
I have short legs and my r+gs saved my bike from damage on all of my drops, got a big gash in the faiting when I got rear ended though HTH and welcome to the site
