I don't find the er6 ugly , think she looks better than the SV , but its to girly

On the UK the SV is an acquired taste , here in my little island where there is only 3 SV's 650 , and hundreds of bandits , hornets and fz6 , the SV is the weird bike !! Strange frame , only one pipe!! , V-twin engine , etc... the SV is a strange looking bike , the er6 on the other hand , has a much more conventional look , except for the colours !

I think comfort is a bizarre extra on a motorcycle.
You would think it came as standard!
If the ER is more comfy than the SV then that is worth far more than a tenth of a second to 60.

I have been surprised how uncomfy my K5 has been...not what is wanted from a commuter but OK for a tankful though.

Probably the main reason why I went for the Hornet..................other than the looks, the engine, the "go", the reliability, etc.....

My naked SV is very comfortable !

I have a work mate with one of the new usd forks Hornets ,his bike is one month older than my SV and she is already rusting , the build quality on his bike doesn't look any better than the build quality on my SV !!
Another friend of mine has a 2000 hornet , she stand all day at the sun , rain , has over 15k miles , and still looks good as new

Maybe the older hornets , not made in Italy where better build... plus, the new ones don't look as good as the 98/99 hornets :P

Very different beasts though...

It's no wonder the ER6 is outselling the SV, the SV's more or less 7 years old now. If I was buying a new one with the choice of the two, I'd almost certainyl take the 6F, with ABS. Just waiting to see how Suzuki respond.

I'd still like to hear a ER6 with a race can.
There's one running in the Dyna pro minitwins series, odd sound nowhere near as fruity as the SV's

Kawaski direct are doing faired ER6f for £3900 and the unfaired for £3700...that is good value...although the ABS variants add £700.
Doing Z750S for £4300!!!That is top price!

If I was going for a Cheap Kwak Hack then the 750 will get my cash.

If I was in the market for a middleweight then these prices would certainly catch my eye.

The age of the SV is not a prob as the Hornet is even older!!!The GPz500 was kept far too long on the books and the ER-6 should have been out six years ago.

Just been into dealers on way home, just one ER6N and one ER6F left, now there were 4 F's on Saturday. Since they offered a fair price on the dullllllville I bought the last F, what swung it was the BT020 tyres as standard against the dunplop D220 on the N.
Going to have to wait a week before I can let you know what I think of it though
