def won't fit in my PC - Motherboard is AGP-8x only

However I was digging around a bit, and discovered that I'd actually bought my graphics card in 2002
It's an ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon - built in TV tuner & all that - it was top of the range at that time and cost me about £250 iirc

So, am I right in guessing that any 'modern' graphics card would be able to run Quake 4 - I installed the game at Christmas, only to discover that the strange brown blob that was very very slowly moving on my screen was the game starting up

If my budget stretches to about £50, what would be a reasonable card

7300GS, I guess (if you can find them in AGP, I guess they're out there somewhere). It will probably be your best bet, and it's not a half-bad card either.

Ooh, AGPs are expensive aren't they? Just had a wee squizz at Overclockers, they're usually good pricewise, but they don't have any Nvidias in your range, and just pretty antique Radeons...

I'd look at second hand- Ebay or computing forums- for AGP, since there'll always be people upgrading their motherboards and having to replace the cards. Just had a quick look and it looks like it's all Nvidia.
