Big time. Everyone is a retard, and you are invisible.
Bingo, I think they should quote that and print it on your license when you pass, your tax, mot, insurance and any other paper correspondence relating to a car/bike/anything that goes on the road.

And dude, really I am glad you are okay, you lives and you learns, most importantly its about the learning bit, if you feel that there is something you could change (apart from re-arranging the other guy's face ) that might help you avoid accidents like this in the future then all power to you, that's what is important.
Benji dont show his face often enogh on this site.... but when he does he takes the words right out of my mouth!!!

Kwak... glad youre in one piece and able to tell us about this. Hope the bumps and bruises heal well.

The old biker saying is something like this:

You start with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience, the trick is to fill the the bag of experience before your bag of luck is empty.

I'm pretty sure that sounds nothing like i remember it!

Yes...glad you're ok. Sounds like to me you hit the best part of the van (if best is the right word). The middle of side panel makes quite a nice crumple zone by the sounds of it?! Especially if the van was empty. Much better than hitting a pillar or part of the subframe...or a lamppost!

This must be an American comment??? That just isn't an issue here, right?
Busted. There are some states here where it's legal to ride without a helmet, though mine isn't one of them -- here in Washington (Seattle area) every rider must wear a helmet. I wore one when it wasn't mandatory, it just makes good sense.

Still meant what I said though, glad he had a good helmet and it did its job. Doesn't matter which side of the pond you're on, cagers are still oblivious and dangerous, and we're all up against them every day we ride.
