I prefer a pan for the SV. I tend to prefer bikes which look a little away from the full faired sportsbike look.

Worried people will think you're lacking in the size department?

Hovi5 I'm with you on this one. The curvy definately needs something as its so unfinished without anything on. Yep, the full fairing definately looks better than lowers, esp. the 2 wheeljunkie fairing which is just beautiful, but its just too pricey to be a serious consideration, thus leaving lowers, which are affordable and finish off an otherwise lovely looking bike.

BTW pointies suck with or without lowers

I must say that I reckon this is a similar (here's the sexist bit I suppose!) to the naked or clothed female arguement. It's all a matter of taste and opinion.............

.....me? I like both my bikes & ladies to be clad in at least something. Bellypan or lowers make the difference on the SV and the pointy deffo looks the biz with lowers on. Joins? Big deal- that just says to me that they can be removed in sections to make servicing easier. No problem.

Each to their own in the end. I did wonder what Hovi5 was playing at with such a provocative remark.......

I agree, completes the bike in my opinion too, and helps protect engine me thinks!I was lucky though managed to wangle them as part of me deal,

The only bit i dont like is where the fairing lowers meet the body work, could do with being abit flusher.
