Hi hovi & gang
I made my own, took about two hours, but i did have a selection of cutting discs and die grinders at my disposal. This was made from a sheet about 3-4 mm thick. Used the existing footpeg and hanger as the guide. http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.ph...ghlight=hanger was a mess about at first, but looking at the one with the cut off foot peg, that lokks awesome. gonna do that with mine next job. Have fun. |

hovi, i didnt make a template but one is easy to make.
I made mine by cutting the shape very roughly, drilling the two holes for the subframe bolts then bend the first angle away from the bike (on the bench not on the bike!) this the allows the second bend to be done and the basic shape is complete. Then mark and drill the exhaust bolt hole. Finally cut out the shape of hanger that you would like. All this was done around the footpeg. As long as the two subframe bolt holes and the exhaust bolt hole are in the same postion as the footpeg ones then what you do in the middle is entirely up to you. Use some thick card as a template if your not sure, then use some wire (coat hanger) attached to the back of the card with gaffa tape bent to the correct angles this will make your template. Remove the wire flatten the card and transfer onto a sheet of stainless or ally. then cut out shape, drill holes and finally bend the angles (I done mine in a vice). Hey presto. This is the best way if your using a jigsaw to cut out the shape. Hope it helps |
