Well, I've just booked.

My route? Point the front wheel in roughly the right direction, and open throttle. The only way to ride

Anyone from down my way (Luckypants, RossiC (IIRC)) give me a shout & I'll take you my route too

Basically, it'll look something like this I'd imagine (assuming I stop off with family on the way past):

I'm booked into the B&B, as I suspect I won't be able to camp due to the frame on my leg

I'll be going up in the car on Friday morning, so if anyone from Soho/Selkent wants me to take up any gear, like tents, then let me know. Also if anyone not riding wants a lift, let me know

cheers

Sounds good Baph. I'd done a quick autoroute that takes me up the M6, but yours seems much better. Would be good for meeting up with some Manchester riders, AmandaM???

Cheers Baph

I will have Isaac with me that weekend, which will make travel interesting. I think we have several options:

1. both pillion all the way there (not a good idea)
2. Take the train up to Lancaster or thereabouts, with all our camping and bike gear and get picked up from station somehow (complicated and impractical with all that stuff)
3. Give the whole thing a miss ( )
4. hitch a lift in a 4-wheeled thing and take our tent and biking gear with us (perfect if a volunteer steps up)

Anyone got any better ideas?

FAO Heed-

I'll join you for the ride down as I'll be coming down from my Scottish Highland tour I'm taking during the week, I'll be travelling down from Oban on the Friday so we can meet up at Carlisle and trek down from there if you fancy it?

SOunds good WRC. I'll PM you or vice versa nearer the date. I'll be heading down the A6 to avoid the M6. I live near junction 44 so could meet you there or meet you at the BP services on junction 42.
