Don't you have to have a numberplate light for MOT's

I'm sure you do...

I thought you did to, but Paws is correct. I found this PDF on another site, have a look at the 2nd page as it shows what the testers look for to pass or fail your bike.

looks awesome mate!

I was certain you needed a rear number plate light but looks like you don't, seems odd that it is required on a car but not a bike though.

right I'm gonna have a go at this on mine and stick a 7 x 5 on it, is that a standard size plate?

I know a mot place that will tell you to go and have a bite at the fry up and when you get back the MOT has been done without the bike moving 1 inch.
Our friends SV just failed it's MOT for not having a number plate light.Seems MOT centres make the rules to suit themselves

Apparently it's in the new book as a requirement, in the "number plate" section along with the dimensions etc. So that'd explain the ticksheet, since it'd just come under "number plate" there too, maybe.

Oh, Hovi5, that looks way better than I was expecting... The plate looks a wee bit odd, with it having no angle to it, but better that than having the gaping hole where the light was. Not seen that before.
