Funnily enough, the few times I have graced the Friday night meets with my presence don't rank as 'VERY good memories', nice bunch that you are...

Have we been relegated already then? Sorry, must have missed that in the paper today! And sadly (for you) I won't be turning up more if we do end up being relegated as there are more games in the Championship, some actually being on Friday nights.
*looks down at liver and worries* Still three weeks til I pick up the new wheels too. *sigh* |

Now that we have discussed the football back to the matter in hand
As posted by N2R Witham is as near as you get to the geographical centre of Essex. I appreciate Caddy's point about Bean but lets face up to the facts, Essex Lounge was set up for Essex bikers, whether JW still wants to attend from Kent is his choice but the majority of people are from Essex so surely that is the priority, not pandering to one person who doesn't live in Essex. Pegasus lives in Suffolk so should we move nearer the Suffolk borders, i.e. Colchester-----------Get real There will be three attendees who actually live in Witham plus nearer for three more and about the same distance for one other as against five who would have to travel further, that is including C Poons and IanSV,both as rare as royal visitations Surely it is up to the concensus to decide which pub they want to use and what criteria of preference they want, Food,Parking or convienence with a bit of cleanliness Had my say so lets make a democratic choice |

Whitham is not that much further for me in terms of time taken as blasting up the A12 is pretty much the same as going to Battlesbridge along the A127. Due to my other pasttimes I don't get as much time on my bike as you lot so I'd be glad of the extra mileage anyway!!

I've always regarded this as a social meet and a bike ride, so moving to a pub closer to home wouldn't be my favourite idea. I'm happy to look at and try other places whilst the Barge is out of action, and if they don't make a complete plastic palace out of it then return when it opens again; although the breweries idea of "improvments" has rarely matched mine in the past

Took me a minute to work out who 'n2r' was...
![]() ![]() ![]() As far as a new venue is concerned I'll go with whatever most are happy with. |
