Airsoft is cool - but combine it with LARP and you get Modern Day LARP...

... way cooler, with shotguns...

... and Zombies...

... and Zombies with shotguns!

I played the event entitled 'Alone' and if you log onto their forum you can find out about their 're-run' - 'Alone 1.5' which is likely to be next February...

... so I won't give away too much of the plot apart from big, BIG, BIG Fekin' Gun!

The whole thing was born though of a drunken desire of a few friends of mine, (myself included) who were fed up with hitting zombies with swords and wanted to shoot them in the face with shotguns and put them on the flor with lengths of 2x2 (foam/latex prop bits of 2x2 ) - and so 'Gunfest' was born.

Started out as a mates/invite only game and very trust based. Hardly any rules and the emphasis was more on characterisation and playing around like you were in Sean of the Dead.
(One of our games was, in fact, entitled Gunp*rn of the Dead by way of tribute.)

It grew from there and Andy Dunbar (who pretty much heads up Mandala LRP) opened it up to the rest of the LRP population - a few more rules, but still very trust based which makes a nice change.

The next event is Hellfire - which sounds awesome, but I don't know if I'm able to attend yet.

I only do my role playing at home ta...

I stopped all that when I stopped playing cyberpunk and Warhammer, oh and the odd one we made up in our lunch break.
