I have noticed though with Male dogs which i can pretty much guarentee that it was male that would have done it (if not then some scrote throwing crap at your door).

The idea is to mark the scent as high as possible so that the smell can caryy further to mark territory and make the dog seem bigger than he is... we have seen Lupo's friend Ranger poo in a tall bush and even on a tree trunk! Lupo will poo on the floor and then scrape the ground so that he leaves massive paw scrapes on the ground to signify territory and to show that he is a big dog. He does inadvertently (well i think on purpose) flick his poo into the nearest tree or bush (sometimes car if i can't stop him in time ). But afaik its only males that do this.
