bit difficult to explain that one... and by no means do I know for certain Im using the correct method either! but its the bottom of your foot facing in towards the frame of the bike, with the bal of your foot still on the peg...
I sort of grip the tank with my other leg.. i.e. on right hand knee down, use left leg to grip tank.. and place my head roughly behind my wing mirror, but still tucked next to the screen, and look in to the corner as you are going... I also now ( on this bike anyway) use my left arm to grip against the tank as well, as the tank is wide enough that it can be used for that as well.... also kind of point my right elbow down to the floor.. kinda sounds funny.. easier to demonstrate! lol

Is it hard to stop now you've got your knee down? I'm imagining it could become a habbit, doing it at every mini roundabout and junction!!

the big fast roundabouts are a bit easier.. but, more can go wrong if you feck up! smaller roundabouts are good for fine tuning what you pick up on large roundabouts, as then it is down to body position, and leaning the bike correctly rather than scream around dangling off bike! so far I can do 25mph round a smallish roundabout, and would say that was still too fast, as I was running wide on it.. left hand knees have mainly been slow corners and a quick drop in scrape knee and back up straight... though I aint doiung those corners again.. cos you do have to be mental to do them! (left hand hairpin on black mountains anyone ?!?)
