im indoors says this could be a distinct possibility, there are a couple of suggestions you guys have given that we will be going over again. these carbs really had to to be stripped down they were so bad, matt said they appeared as though they'd never been touched...but raptor first tomorrow. The big boys are coming to the rescue hopefully for that...as for the black its more simple, its just finding it, cause I really don't want to be doing valve clearances and shims, for tonight its a bottle of red as im indoors went home before we killed each other...

It's a long shot but mine did the same and the fix was a new choke cable as the old one was sticking and causing it to run crap! Runs perfect now

NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....the yellow one is special, she has to remain how she is, apart from obvious maintenance to keep her tip top....well better than the current condition...rat bike,

Hey Dizzy

Hope you get it sorted, but if not, there's always the yellow one.

ok after much beard scratching, and checking for damage of rubbers and such like, the inevitable happened and Suzy lost her carbs temporarily. We have now decided the carbs on the black one are stuffed. The butterfly linkage is a little slack and looks likely to be the problem. So we swapped them for Suzies and changed the jets as well( suzy was dino'd and rejetted so no good on the black)........hey presto, fingers crossed solved...only thing is now Suzy has no carbs,
does anyone know if you can replace these things or do you have to go and source a whole new set of carbs and hope they aren't poo too?

First thing to check is if the old ones will come apart, mine won't... Those bolts are made of cheese.
