Sorry to hear about your off and damage to the bike, but glad to hear that you're still walking.

My jacket does have armour at the elbows, but I have pointy elbows (to go with my bike ) ... glad I did have armour cos otherwise my elbow would probably have been smashed up. My bruising was probably caused by the impact of elbow against armour. I haven't actually removed the armour from the elbow to see what it's like ... but it feels hard on the inside too ... I'd have thought they could have at least made it a little bit soft and squishy on the inside just to absorb any impact, but then I guess that's why people buy dedicated armour
