Re: "noisy" neighbours
Thanks for all the advice guys - been on to the EHO and registered my concern about it all with them. They didnt give me many options - put carpet down, thick curtains, keep tv away from party wall etc. which all of which without investment into a carpet (and hiding nice wooden floors) i have done. I have a very large rug which covers a large area anyway, however the room is a fair size and it does still have a bit of echo to it.
I explained that I do hear noise from his side but take it as part & parcel of being in a semi, plus i dont have any kids to be concerned about and the noise is never loud late on 11-7 (neither is mine)
Graeme, he knows my situation and I'm not concerned with getting the police involved at this stage as I dont think its necessary. If they did get involved it would be through him contacting them, which I doubt he would do.
Truthfully, and after thinking about it today, I think I was more than reasonable in trying to sort it out rather than taking issue with himbellowing through the wall at me. If he wants to sort it out then he can have a CIVIL word with me, otherwise nothing is going to be resolved.
